Online Bulletin and Prayer List

AUGUST  1, 2021

Sometimes life seems so complicated. Then you throw in  Covid and the regulations and coming out of  Covid, and trying to figure out how to move forward…..it is overwhelming!  But when we look at scripture it keeps things simple. Paul says in Philippians 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” The key here is that the way to live in Christ is the same way we come to Christ. We need to go back to the gospel every day and realize it is not about what we do, but what Christ has done. When we look to Him instead of relying on ourselves we can find strength and hope in the hardest of times.

In Christ,

Pastor Benjamin Boyd

Vacation Bible School

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL was held on July 26th – 29th each evening.  What an amazing week of  Vacation Bible School! Our knights learned to Armor Up with Truth, Justice, Peace, Faith, and Salvation.  Everyone enjoyed learning from Sparky the Dragon and  Armorer Jo as they led our opening and closing each evening. Many, many canned goods were donated for our church food pantry. The offering collected of $610 will be donated to Water4. Water4’s vision is  “A world where all people have access to safe and Living Water.” Over 90 people joined us during the week. Our dedicated VBS Ministry Team worked extremely hard to provide an incredible week of VBS for our community. Many thanks to each VBS worker for your service, time and love shared throughout the week. “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His power.” Eph. 6: 10

THOUGHT:

TAKE THE TIME

Take the time, enjoy a sunrise

Pink clouds  brightening the sky,

Fragrance from a lovely garden

Where the roses please the eye.

Take the time, enjoy all Nature—

It is always worth your while.

You’ll be grateful for the beauty

That will cause your heart to smile

Take the time to show a kindness—

Just a drop you give today

Has a special kind of sweetening

That can help in many ways.

There is magic in each droplet—

You will know that  this is true;

For a portion of its magic

Will return to sweeten you.

Take the time to travel slower,

Enjoy each moment that you live,

Then you’ll really know the fullness

Of the blessings God can give.
